cinema (top)
Watching films - at the cinema, on cable, from a DVD - is my
preferred form of distraction. I am probably making up for my childhood. I can only recall
going to the cinema less 20 times before graduating high school.
We did not get a VCR until I was 14, and rentals were expensive. Cable television was a myth.
We were lucky to get a fifth local channel depending on reception.
Because of time and money, I watch the majority of films at home on DVD. You can buy DVDs for $16 or less
and watch it whenever you want in the comfort of your home. Plus DVDs can be regifted, have a resale value,
have special features, etc. With a small child now, making the trip to the cinema is now even more difficult.
- Alphabetical Movie List
- Since Dec 1996, I have kept an alphabetical list of films, rating each on a
scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the best. I include only the films I have seen either
in the cinema, on video, on DVD, or uninterrupted and unedited on cable.

music (top)
I think that I have a pretty eclectic taste in music. However, as a consumer, I generally purchase
within the sub-genres of Pop and Rock from the early 60's to the present.
