AFS-PAM rpm's
AFS Pam rpm's From Oldest to Newest
In order for automatic logins using AFS, the pam files have to be
modified. afs-pam is a collection of pam modules that have already been
pre-made for certain situations.
- afs-pam-useklog-1.i386.rpm
(all Fermi Linux)
useklog does no automatic afs logins. You have to klog by hand to get a
afs token.
- afs-pam-nonis-1.i386.rpm (all
Fermi Linux)
nonis is for clusters that do not use an nis password, only an afs
password.
- afs-pam-afstryfirst-1.i386.rpm
(all Fermi Linux)
afstryfirst will atempt to get an AFS token using the users NIS password.
If this fails, it will then ask for the AFS password. If that also
fails, it usually will not log in the user.
- afs-pam-afsusefirst-1.i386.rpm
(all Fermi Linux)
afsusefirst will atempt to get an AFS token using the users NIS password.
If this fails, the user will log in, but not get an AFS token.
- afs-pam-nistryfirst-1.i386.rpm
(all Fermi Linux)
nistryfirst will attempt to login the user using their NIS password. If
this succeeds, nothing else is done and they are logged in. If it fails,
then an attempt is made to login the user via AFS, using the same
password, and if that fails asks for a new password. If either of these
work then the user is logged in, getting AFS tokens. If that fails, then
the user is not logged in.
