KDE Installation Scripts

I really like the KDE desktop. In an effort to help others enjoy it as well, I've written these scripts so that installing it is just a one step process.
Please note that errors that occur are sent to the root of the machine that is being upgraded, as well as a copy to me. This is for debugging purposes only. I delete the mail messages after a week or so if no-one has contacted me asking questions. If you don't want this, then delete the line at the end of the script.
Although no warrentee or garuntee is implied, I do accept comments so that I can make the scripts better.

Install KDE21

Fermi Linux 6.1.x / RedHat 6.1

The script has now been officially tested in a variety of ways. As with any of my scripts, if you come across a problem, feel free to contact me.

Install.KDE21 is a script that will install KDE21 on your Fermi Linux machine.
NOTE: This will get rid of your old KDE.

Simply download the script and run it as root.
Note: This has only been tested on Fermi Linux 6.1.x

install.kde21

Install KDE222

Fermi Linux 7.1.1 / RedHat 7.1

The rpm's that are installed have been recompiled to work with 7.1. RedHat did a much better job with the 2.2.2 rpms than they did with the 2.2.1 rpms. I only had to recompile two rpms this time.

Install.KDE222 is a script that will install KDE 2.2.2 on your Fermi Linux 7.1.1 machine.
Simply download the script and run it as root.

NOTE1: This will get rid of your old KDE.
NOTE2: This takes about 93 M of temporary drive space in /
NOTE3: It is usually best to reboot your machine after running this. It is not required, but an occasionaly quirky thing shows up if you don't.
NOTE4: This has only been tested on Fermi Linux 7.1.1
