Note: This page will be replaced eventually with a cgi form that automatically generates the correct account request. Right now you have to send email to Diana Bonham (diana@fnal.gov) or Nelly Stanfield (nelly@fnal.gov), requesting that they give you an Oracle account.
When you make this request, you need to tell them which server you want an account on. As of this writing, the servers are on the following nodes:
| Node Name | Oracle SID | Alias | Intended Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| fncduh.fnal.gov | d0db | cdf_dev1 | D0 developement |
| d0ora1.fnal.gov | d0ofdev1 | d0ofdev1 | D0 development |
| d0ora2.fnal.gov | d0ofprd1 | d0ofprd1 | D0 production |
| fncduh.fnal.gov | cdfdb | cdfdb | CDF development |
| fndauk.fnal.gov | dev2 | cdf_dev2 | Replication/Backup Testing |
| cdfora.fnal.gov | cdfoff1 | cdf_dev3 | CDF Offline Development |
| b0dau30.fnal.gov | ordb | cdf_dev4 | CDF Online Development |
After you obtain the account, you use client software to connect to the server. The details of how to do this can be found here.
