PBEAM_WMC Options Wes Smart Nov. 15, 2000 The PBEAM input .dat file requires input of 7 logical, LHOPTS(7), and 7 integer, NHOPTS(7), variables for controlling optional program features. If true: LHopts(1) Produce Importance weights tune up hists for pi+, K+, K0, K0bar LHopts(2) Produce E(100) vs x(21) axis hist #100 at detector distance and transverse size specified in the .dat file LHopts(3) Produce hist #101 with E(100) vs [x(21) & y(21) grid] at detector distance and transverse size specified in the .dat file LHopts(4) Produce special hists (Were used to cross check hadron tracking with Jim Hylen) LHopts(5) Include printout of Importance weights used on PL bins in .prt file Lhopts(6) Enable horn subroutine dump print Lhopts(7) Cut out decays before dcyzdn(1) (ie, cuts decays in target & horn box, just keep those in decay pipe Effect: NHopts(1) Specify symmetry: 0 = none, 1 = y only, 2 = both x & y. If the y or x distribution is known to be symmetrical, using 1 or 2 will cause only a quarter or a half of hists #100 and #101 to be filled from the generated tracks. After all tracks are generated, the remainder of the hist will be filled by symmetry. NHopts(2) select decay pipe to near detector distance from table below for Importance weights tune up hists and line in dump with neutrino energy and weights NHopts(3) Should be 1 to use the end of decay pipe to near detector distances table below. If 0 (or any value but 1) the previous selection of hist 1 Z=1050, hist 2 Z=1300, hist 3 Z=1800 m, hist 4 FAR will be used. NHopts(4) If 1-9, produce hists of near det flux averaged over several radii. The value (table below) of NHopts(4) specifies the near det distance from end of decay pipe used. NHopts(5) If 2-9, neutrino energy bins in hists will be 1 GeV/NHopts(5). NHopts(6) If 1-4 use a Fin target with y beam width SIGBM*NHopts(6), target width above beam center TGTRAD*NHopts(6), and infinite width below beam center. If NHopts(6).eq.9, Use more realistic low energy beam fin target with a hard coded y half-width of 14 mm and a beam sigma in y hard coded as twice that in x. Otherwise use Rod target NHopts(7) If 8 write to ntuple 18 a list of hadrons leaving target for GEANT comparisons If 9 keep hadrons that would have not decayed before end of decay pipe by setting zdecy=dcylen If 6 write to ntuple 18 a list of muons created in beamline (plus uninteracted protons or protons that miss the target) End of decay pipe to near detector distances table: 250,300,315.45,350,400,500, 600,700, & 800 m (315.45 is from Mark Messier's web page on 7/17/01)
