Yet another of my hobbies is Family Tree Research. My wife
actually does more with this then I do, but I am her resident
computer expert so I help where I can. This page links to some of
the information which I have posted and to sites that I use and/or
recommend.
I've found the following on-line Family Tree references that include my
own relatives:

a
page that lists my name and several other related
"Schumacher's". I need to send him updates on recent nieces
and nephews.
I mentioned the
Family Tree Maker web
site above. We're currently using version 5.0 of the
Family Tree Maker Deluxe Package. I highly recommend this
software.
I found a program for my Palm Pilot called
My
Roots. This program let's me carry my entire family tree
with me. I can export the data from our database at home in the
form of a GedCom file and download that to the Pilot. This
little program, billed as "The Genealogist's Note Pad", is
fabulous. There is an
on-line
User's manual and a
FAQ
