Brief Minutes from a Weekly meeting on alignment

Monday,  27 May '99 (1:30 - 2:30 pm)
Present:   D. Eartly (Fermilab)
                      D. Loveless(Wisconsin)

    1. Discussion of milestone reports.  D.E. drafts reports which are edited by R. Loveless.

    2. bi-direction DCOPS sensor sample shown, ready for test.  Dimensional data taken for future layouts.  It is consistent with previous brackets, etc.

    3.  Answer on FR4 use for endcap alignment system.  We take ALMYII & DCOPS models plus 1-6U (220), 1-9U(400) VME crate equivalent per endcap.  Total FR4 = approx. 12 m^2.

4. PT 2,3,6 linkplate design (186mm) with inclinometers and shims, adjustments made to Z tube ends and non magnetic sliders.  Detail drawings proceeding.

5. ME1 layout issues - CERN approval ME1/2.  We have modified layouts for inner sensor on the top panel of CSC's.  There is a model to modify the ALMY II electronics into a two stack board - eliminating any space required between the primary and secondary link line apertaures.  This can eliminate interference.  We have made our design milestone on the link and SLM systems.

6. Review discussion of PSL sensor mounting - inner base-plate, brackets, outer-mounts, & towers.  Detail drawings in progress.  PSL will probably build unless NEU can respond quickly.

7. Coordination of database issue raised by G. Bencze.  We will investigate with Sergei's help.  We are not to get inbedded in drift tube database.

8. ISR plan development - what is system, readout, what is the test, resutls, issues, etc.   D.E. will attempt a draft.

next meeting  is planned at 13:30  on 6/3/99 (Thursday)
