ALIGNMENT
PARAMETERS ARE FROZEN IN INTEGRATION DRAWINGS
ME1 Alignment sensor layout
with large/small end gap bar-bolt line location for reference pins and
sensor brackets for ME1/2 with connection for ME1/3 endpoint reference
sensors.
Tight spatial constraints dictate
that alignment sensor pins entrap one cathode cable flow.
ME1 Endcap Alignment configuration
given to CERN MAB design group.
ME1/3 Alignment sensors can
have reference pins at end gap bar-bolt line locations (strip referencing)
but require tower support from corner brackets or side extrusions of CSCs.
Linkplate support designs mounted
to corner connection plates of endcap iron discs
DCOPS sensor board to satisfy
31mm dimension constraint above alignment line
ME2/3 SLM standard bracket for
ALMYII or DCOPS sensors
Alignment sensor mount designs
do or not interact with cathode cables depending on footprint required
to provide stability for a sensor on a tower (ME23/2)
We will develop an alignment
sensor mount and tower prototype for P2" and test tower stability experimentally
