CalDet Analysis
CalDet
is
the MINOS Calibration Detector located at Cern.
This Detector has being exposed in mainly electron, muon and pion beams
and has been read out by both Far and Near Detector Electronics . The
electronics used for the Near Detector are different from the ones used
in the Far detector. The main component of the Front End Electronics
Electronics for the Near Detector is the QIE chip. This chip has been developed
by the ASIC Design Group at Fermilab is capable of digitizing at the 53
MHz RF frequency, with no intrinsic dead time and with a dynamic range
of 16 bits.
During my visit at CalDet for
two weeks in October of 2003
I started working (having very useful discussions and help from
A.Cabrera mainly , and also G. Drake, D. Reyna, P. Shanahan and Simona Murgia that wrote the QieCalibration Module that makes the
tree with the summary table information)
on an analysis related with the QIE chip Calibration and
Response. The details and results of this analysis,
that is still
in progress, are summarized in the following presentations:
