USPAS Accelerator Physics Course
January 16-27, 2012, Austin, TX
This is the material from the USPAS Accelerator Physics course (IU/USPAS 570), taught in Austin, TX in January, 2012, hosted by the University of Texas, Austin.
CAVEAT: this was the first time I taught this course, so not all the
notes have been rendered in PowerPoint, and not all errors have been
corrected. Use at your own risk.
These were interspersed with the regular lectures.
The labs for this course were primarily computer simulations done usinging the Portable Beamline Optics (PBO) software package, written and sold by AccelSoft, Inc, with the TRANSPORT simulation module. In addition, some exercises used the MAD optics modeling program, which is available free of charge.
