Research Blurb:My primary research interests address TeV-scale collider phenomenology, with an emphasis on collider signatures from Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) Electroweak (EWK) physics. In other words, I study ways of exploiting the subtle differences between new physics theories and our well-established Standard Model (SM). Past research topics include exploring the physics potential of a new Muon Collider with √s = 4 TeV, at Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois. Previously, I was a member of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) collaboration, also through Fermilab, studying the CMS Detector's sensitivity to discovering the Z' boson (pronounced: zee prime) with SM-like couplings. My other research interests include: collider-based dark matter searches, classical field dynamics, and massive neutrinos. News:2012 LHC Lumi Plots, updated daily if not sooner. (2012 May)Higgs! (2012 January) Hints of the higgs boson? I also now write for Quantum Diaries. It is a terrific source of information about particle physics and, intriguingly enough, about particle physicists.
