sudo apt-get install module-assistant
sudo apt-get install libncurses

sudo module-assistant prepare openafs-modules
sudo module-assistant auto-build openafs-modules

There will be a .deb file called openafs-module-...
in your current directory.

Double click it to install it.

modprobe openafs

or just start the openafs-client

/etc/init.d/openafs-client
