Definition of the observable

$y_3$ in the Jade algorithm in the P-scheme is obtained following the procedure described in Sec. 15.1, but the definition of $y_{ij}$ in (22) is replaced by

$$y_{ij} = \frac{(p_i+p_j)^2}{E_{vis}^2}\,.$$ (27)

with $E_{vis}$ is the visible energy defined as $E_{vis} = \sum_i E_i$, here $E_i$ are the energies before any recombination.
