Definition of the observable

Given a central region in rapidity $ {\cal C}$, one can construct the normalised invariant masses $ \rho_{U,{\cal C}}$ and $ \rho_{D,{\cal C}}$ as explained in eq. (14), and then consider the maximum of the the two normalised masses:

The hard scale (Q) is taken to be the Born partonic center-of-mass energy.
Rapidity of the center of mass of the outgoing pair: 0.000
Cosine of the angle between outgoing jet and beam (in the partonic CM frame): 0.200

Since this observable is non-global, the analysis has not been continued. Since this observable is discontinuosly global, multiple emission effects have not been computed.
