Prof. Craig Group studies the most fundamental forces and particles of nature. In the past he has worked to find the Higgs boson (the particle which gives mass to fundamental matter particles) and studied rare interactions of the top quark (the heaviest fundamental particle known to exist). He is currently studying neutrino interactions ("ghost" particles of the Universe), searching for dark matter (unknown particles that account for 85% of the matter in the universe), and building a particle detector for a future experiment at Fermilab (The Cosmic Ray Veto system for the Mu2e experiment). His research involves both particle accelerators and gigantic detectors that measure the signals produced ffrom particles interactions. His group's research is mainly on the NOvA and Mu2e experiments at Fermilab. He was also a member of the CDF experiment at Fermilab.
